We all need some positivity in our lives after the year we\u2019ve endured. This was also the year that the hashtags #lovewillwait, #postponedontcancel and #marrynowpartylater exploded and the year that instead of getting married, couples celebrated their love with a \u2018Would be Wedding Day.\u2019<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

With over 200,000 couples being forced to postpone their weddings due to Covid-19, the past 12 months have been a devastating + heart breaking time for so many. With plans ruined and wedding dreams shattered, couples have been riding an emotional roller-coaster of a wedding journey. Instead of Hen Parties, Stag do\u2019s and pamper sessions, it\u2019s been rescheduling dates, frantically trying to re-book suppliers or find new suppliers, and juggling all of the emotion of essentially re-planning their dream day, not knowing when restrictions will end or what the future looks like. All whilst dealing with a global pandemic which has made this process beyond distressing.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

But in the face of heart ache + despair, it\u2019s crucial to keep looking forward, to keep positive + keep that wedding sparkle, even though it is an agonising journey. The focus of knowing that, in the future, these brides and grooms to be WILL be married, and WILL get to say their \u201cI do\u2019s\u201d and WILL get that first kiss, has kept them going.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

It\u2019s been an incredibly painful time, and to see the suffering of both couples, and the wonderful suppliers that live, breathe + sleep this beautiful industry has been hard. But couples and suppliers alike have kept looking forward, knowing that they haven\u2019t come this far to only come this far. With intimate weddings now taking place (yayyyyyy!), and the next chapter of the roadmap for bigger weddings to be able to go ahead still on target, things are definitely looking hopeful for the very near future.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

It\u2019s my absolute pleasure to introduce to you some amazing couples who had to postpone their wedding dates, but chose to mark what would have been their original date in a special + meaningful way. We had booked the time off work anyway, so instead of cancelling it, we rented a camper van and took a road-trip to the Scottish highlands. The day we were supposed to get married we woke up in the back of the van in Fort William, surrounded by the autumn leaves. We took a ride on the Jacobite steam train, described as one of the most beautiful railway journeys in the world and travels across the Glenfinnan Viaduct to Malliag, a small fishing village where we stopped for a fresh fish lunch (luckily in Scotland at this time, pubs and restaurants were open). We came back to the van that night, ate cheese and drank red wine while listening to some good music.\u00a0<\/p>

The day after, we climbed to the summit of Ben Nevis; we then travelled around the Isle of Skye where we treated ourselves to a couple of Michelin Star meals amongst hiking and exploring the beautiful landscape \u2013 we love fine dining as a treat!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
