However, as it meant they could marry, which is ultimately the true essence of a wedding day, Georgia + Adam forged ahead. Despite missing out on all the \u2018traditional\u2019 wedding elements, looking back, they have no regrets and wouldn\u2019t have changed any part of it.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section couple, Georgia + Adam were initially friends for years, having met through work. However, when Adam decided to leave the company, their friendship then flourished as Georgia admitted, \u201cI still find it so strange how things work out! Never in a million years did I think we&#8217;d end up as more than friends let alone original wedding plan was for a Church service at St. Peter\u2019s in Little Aston on 26<sup>th<\/sup> June 2020 for 40 guests, followed by a reception at a local Golf Club, with an evening celebration for 80.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section pandemic hit, Georgia + Adam were initially still excited for their wedding that summer as they explained, \u201cWhen the first lockdown happened back in March, we didn&#8217;t really think too much of it to be honest. The church was so flexible and the verger there was just amazing. She must have checked out at least a dozen other dates for us. We were basically told to postpone until next summer but by the end of September weddings with 30 guests were allowed so we thought, sod it, let&#8217;s go for it and replanned a short notice wedding for 28th November &#8211; the anniversary date of when we moved in together.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section Georgia continues, \u201cWe sadly cut the guest list down to 15 and planned to marry at the church and hire a private room to have a small sit-down meal in afterwards. Then Lockdown 2 arrived, and we weren&#8217;t even able to have a sit-down meal. After talking it through, we decided to go ahead and marry without any reception at I did a seating plan so people could sit in their bubbles and the church didn&#8217;t look so empty and put name places out on the pews along with the Order of Service and wedding favours for each person. I didn&#8217;t want our personalised M&amp;M&#8217;s and burgundy velvet ribbon going to waste haha!! We bought our own foliage to the church and I managed to get Christmassy Poinsettia&#8217;s the night before to add some colour to the evening parties were not permitted to take place, the couple adapted their Church service to include some elements that they would have otherwise missed out on. Georgia\u2019s Dad did his all-important \u2018Father of the Bride\u2019 speech during the service, and after their vows, the couple were able to have a \u2018first dance\u2019 in front of the altar. This was a beautiful and moving experience for them and for their intimate group of guests watching Adam\u2019s love filled wedding was captured so tenderly by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beckytranter.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Becky Tranter Photography<\/a>. \u201cI don&#8217;t know where to start with Becky. It was just fate. I followed Becky on IG for agessss before we decided to marry and knew I wanted her as our photographer. I bought my wedding dress for our original wedding and there by the till was Becky&#8217;s business cards. We decided on our June 2020 date and I was gutted to find that Becky was already booked. When we decided to marry, short notice, in November I thought I&#8217;d check Becky&#8217;s availability and she was free! Becky literally made our wedding day for us. I couldn&#8217;t have my best friends at the wedding and my bridesmaids were my daughters and niece &#8211; which was so lovely &#8211; but they couldn&#8217;t help me get dressed or tell me whether my make-up was ok and Becky totally stepped up. Becky was our photographer but also my maid of honour and best friend for the day. It&#8217;s like I&#8217;ve known her for years! Alongside this, Becky scouted some areas around the church prior to the wedding so that Adam and I could have some photos after the service alone and it totally made the day. The photos are future, the couple plan on having a large summer reception later this year and are very much looking forward to celebrating with their friends and family, who they missed having with them on their day. Despite celebrating their wedding day in a way so far from how they had originally planned, they have absolutely no regrets whatsoever. \u201cOur actual wedding day was just wonderful. The sun came out for us on 12th December and we were just so lucky! After all of the hurdles we had to jump and all the things we &#8220;missed out on&#8221;, I just wouldn&#8217;t change it.\u201d Georgia continues with some experienced words of advice, \u201cDon&#8217;t spend too much &#8211; it&#8217;s just not worth it. Just chill out about it all. Pick the things that are important to you and spend on those. The rest won&#8217;t be Surrounded by a mere handful of socially distanced masked loved ones, these images are so achingly intimate. We usually associate a &#8216;traditional&#8217; first dance within a room packed to the rafters and the buzz of laughter and hum of guests singing their hearts out to a band playing live music. The reality captured here couldn\u2019t be further from that.
